Screens
Screens can be purchased
with either a wooden or aluminum frame. Wooden
frames are cheaper but some wooden screens warp and
make it nearly impossible to restretch them and obtain
good registration. Aluminum screens are more
expensive. But aluminum screens won't warp and
can be restretched and reclaimed hundreds of times.
Screens also come in different
mesh counts. Different mesh counts are used depending
on what type of ink you are using, what type of image
you are printing, or what type of garment you are printing
on. It sounds complicated, but we will provide
with information on what type of mesh to use for different
jobs. A mesh count of 110-195 will be fine for
most orders.

T-shirts
Shirts come in many different
colors and different compositions. Most
screen printers use 100% Cotton or 50/50 t-shirts. There
are many different brands of t-shirts. Opinions
differ on which brand is best. The type of t-shirt
you purchase will depend on who is ordering. Some
orders will call for heavy shirts. Other orders
will call for the cheapest shirt you can find. It
is important that you know what your customer wants
and needs.
